Governors of NSG
The Governing Board at Northampton School for Girls are responsible for raising school standards through their three key aims of:
- Ensuring accountability
- Providing a strategic overview
- Acting as a critical friend
Governors also ensure that the school meets statutory requirements such as employment law, safeguarding, finance and the curriculum. Governors carry out regular visits to the school to meet staff and students and to work with members of the Senior Leadership Team.
The Governing Board meets at least once per term, as do both the Finance & Audit and the Quality of Education Committees. The list of meeting dates for the current school year can be found below.
