To ensure a confident start to post 16 courses and a secure basis for study, potential post 16 students are expected to complete short study units on each of the subjects they are considering studying over the summer period following year 11.

These units of work provide tasks that are designed to engage, challenge and stimulate as well as begin to introduce some of the skills and knowledge needed to study at level 3. 

The completion of transition work is compulsory to starting

on the respective level 3 course in September.
